One of my new favorite things is rock scrambling in the foothills. This isn’t totally new to me, but I haven’t done it since I was a kid. My friend Josh and I have been going to the trail head at the top of Indian School. We hike up a little ways and head towards the left and there are these rocks that from a distance look like mere stones; however, as you get closer to the rocks their true size comes into form. This last week we found an awesome group of rocks that were tons of fun to climb. There were lots of “cavey” spots underneath the boulders that Keuma could run around in and get to where we were without having to do all the rock hopping. We started out late in the afternoon and made it back to the car just as the sun had completed its run through our beautiful skies. Josh and I had a great time talking, spitting sunflower seeds, taking daring leaps, and snapping some photos.
