Last week we participated in the adventure called camping– with a 6-month-old, it was a completely new experience for us!  With the company of some good friends from church, we set up camp at Eleven Mile Canyon, where we visited a few weeks ago.  The hubbies and kiddos (well, technically, one is a teenager) had fun with some water time (fishing and tubing) while the wives and baby hung around the campsite, cooking and enjoying some good conversation.

Hudson practiced his wobbly sitting skills by the Platte River…

Does he look a little sleepy?  That’s because he cried ALL NIGHT LONG!  God bless our sweet friends who shared their pop-up trailer with us…

Calla upon waking…I think she slept harder than anyone…

We only camped one night–between the intense sun during the day and the incessant crying at night, we decided that was probably enough. :)   Despite the rough spots, we did have a wonderful time, complete with good food and even better fellowship.  I’m actually tempted to try this ‘camping with baby’ thing again!
